About this Episode

On this podcast, you will hear from two amazing men making a difference.

Dr. Robert Renteria, is an author, educator and founder of From the Barrio Foundation, who is working with the Chicago Public School District and other schools around the country to implement From the Barrio to the Classroom, a dynamic two week curriculum/teacher’s guide that utilizes Dr. Renteria’s story to help students reflect on their own lives and share their own stories.

George Moore, Jr. is the founder of the Legacy Reentry Foundation whose mission is to provide relevant resources that assist the formerly incarcerated with their spiritual, physical & mental transition back into society - changing individual lifestyles one day at a time. Through his personal experience with incarceration and the obstacles that he faced in returning to society God led him to start a ministry entitled “King In You” in 2007 where he encouraged and challenged people from all walks of life to rise above their past and to embrace their future in Jesus Christ through his written books, speaking engagements and ultimately the weekly classes that he teaches as a Chaplain at the Lake County Jail in IL.
